Rosine Lemon nee Capehart was born in 1935 in NYC. Rosine grew up in Manhattan, attending Chapin School. Rosine played badminton for the US and won the Junior Open when she was 18. She traveled to Japan and China to play in the Uber Cup, as well as playing in many European countries. She left her job at the UN and spent time traveling before returning to NY to attend Columbia University. Circa 1966 Rosine married Peter Lemon and they started a business photographing and making brochures for summer camps. This brought the couple up to the Adirondacks frequently and in the late 1970s they decided to move to Long Lake, where Rosine’s children attended high school. There Rosine enjoyed skiing, hiking, and playing tennis. Peter passed away in January of 2016, and Rosine moved to Will Rogers in Saranac Lake after his death.
